Jonathan - nominally the Captain! Does most of the passage planning and navigation; shares helming with Annabel and the boys. Also Webmaster!

I started sailing dinghies in the 60’s - Enterprise, Fireball, Norfolk Punt; During this time I had also crewed extensively in International Dragon keelboats at Lowestoft. I then bought a Flying Fifteen jointly with a friend, Nick Methold, who in 2007 was one of the crew on the trip from England to Germany in Wandering Star II.

Mallard of Chet became our first sailing cruiser - a Peter Duck class ketch. Annabel and I renovated her extensively. See photos of her in our album  - yet to be added. Sadly we found that she was too small four four adults, and in 2002 we bought Wandering Star II, a Southerly 115.

Annabel - first mate and the powerhouse who gets us all out of bed and organised! Also renowned as a dab hand with a varnish brush.

Annabel started sailing as a child, sailing in her brother’s Brown Boat (Broads One Design). She also sailed with friends in their Broads sailing Cruiser ‘Dragonfly’. Her skills with paint and varnish brushes developed at this time - both these boats were timber and needed constant attention.

Tom - crew and photographer; studying Environmental Sciences at the University of East Anglia, Norwich.

He has his own web page for his photos at http://alcamin.deviantart.com

Ed - crew and artist; studying fashion at the University of Creative Arts, Maidstone. Can usually be found with a pad and pencil in hand.

Publishes his art on his own site at http://deviantdeath.deviantart.com

Nick - we shared a Flying Fifteen together some years ago, but this was the first trip that he had done in Wandering Star II with us. Came back for more punishment in 2008, with his wife Annie.

Peter - introduced to us by Nick. He has a catamaran that he and Nick have sailed extensively on the East Coast, and also to France.

Annie - Nick’s wife - constantly frustrated when trying to take photos of porpoises, but has lots of photos of where they just disappeared!

Sam - more used to sailing in dinghies or a 60 foot gaffer - found sailing on Wandering Star II rather gentle!

Philip in customary relaxed pose, and Sarah at the helm.

We met Philip whilst sailing Enterprises in our teens. He now sails Loch Longs with his family at Aldeburgh on the East Coast of the UK. (See links page for website details)

Phil & Sarah took full advantage of the bikes, particularly on Samso, and provided us with much entertainment. Phil even tried to teach Annabel how to fish!
